The Aerial Lineman is accountable for performing skilled tasks in accordance with standard trade practices in the construction, maintenance, and operation of underground and overhead telecommunications plant in an outside environment. Using various construction equipment, Aspen Aerial Linemen install, operate, maintain, inspect and repair CATV lines to include Strand, Fiber and Coax. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

The Fiber/Coax Splicer Technician position is a skilled position and she/he is considered competent and authorized to work in this field. He/she will have the experience and knowledge to perform all the duties of a Splicer. This position will need to be flexible in their hours, with occasional on-call duties including night and weekend work. The Splicer will frequently communicate with the customer and act in a professional manner.

As the Safety Manager at PES in Converse, TX, part of the San Antonio metro, you're key to our team's safety in testing, commissioning, and engineering, mainly in power utilities, industrial construction, and electrical PPE rubber goods testing. While our work is mostly local, we also cover projects nationwide. Your role is crucial in maintaining our high safety standards and industry leadership as part of a Quanta Services Company.

The first step Apprentice will begin working on the job performing tasks related to his/her step. Step one Apprentice should concentrate on learning the skills necessary to climb and perform work from poles. All climbers must use 100% fall protection equipment when climbing and working aloft. At no time may a first step Apprentice perform energized work or get himself or any conductive object within five (5) feet of exposed energized primary circuits or equipment. Primary circuits are defined for the purpose of this program as having a voltage greater than 480. While working aloft on a completely de-energized line, the first step Apprentice must be supervised/observed by a qualified employee at the task location. While working aloft with energized circuits located on the pole, but not within five (5) feet of the first step apprentice, the first step Apprentice must be directly supervised and observed by a Lineman or Foreman at the same physical location as the Apprentice (on the pole with or in a bucket beside).

Step five will continue the Apprentice's training co centration on pole mounted apparatuses (other than transformers). During step five the Apprentice will be permitted to work on energized primary and secondary circuits with direct supervision of a Lineman or Foreman. This supervision may be a loft at the same physical location or supervised from the ground as long as the person supervising can effectively communicate with the Apprentice aloft.

A Journeyman Lineman at Southern Electric Corporation classification will have received their training in an approved forty-two (42) month apprenticeship program or a certified testing program or must have five (5) years of continuous substation/line construction/maintenance experience. Journeyman Linemen shall have a working knowledge of all aspects of substation/line work and have the capability and expertise to work independently if required.

FiberTel, LLC is looking for a Fiber Splicer Technician for our Hillsboro, OR market.   the Fiber Splicer Technician position is a skilled position and she/he is considered competent and authorized to work in this field. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. Physical Requirements: The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. As a full-time Fielder Technician in the Design Estimating Department you will be expected to complete a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately after your completed training. These tasks include, but are not limited to: walking from pole to pole to complete field engineering, taking clear pictures of all angles of poles, carrying Hastings stick and being able to use it to accurately measure communication heights. Represent QUES and our clients at field meets, office meetings and public forums. Understanding, interpreting and explaining company proposed and approved plans. Notify co-workers of project status changes and follow-ups. Understanding and ensuring company project trackers are fully updated with fielding information. Always drive safely and be considerate of other drivers on the road. Maintaining company equipment and immediately notifying superiors of any issues. Often independently routing yourself to optimize assignments for each day. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all QUES employees, clients and associates. As your skills and experience grow in the company, you may be required to take on additional processes.
