About this Role

FiberTel, LLC is looking to hire a Fleet Administrative Assistant for our Springville, UT location.

 

The Fleet Administrative Assistant will assist the Fleet management team throughout the western US. They will operate within a systematic and organized approach to the construction crew tooling as well as vehicle repair or maintenance reporting schedules. She/he will assist in DOT compliance and reporting as it relates to the fleet as well as asset management within the company. He/she will help with the implementation of vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance. The Fleet Administrative Assistant will also help develop and maintain outside vendor and service provider relationships. 

What You'll Do

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Monitor and maintain all safety guidelines related to company vehicles and report all violations to the coordinator of vehicle maintenance. 
  • Support shop/mechanic staff by maintaining the Maintenance report. 
  • Identify and report fleet related issues to the coordinator of vehicle maintenance. 
  • Assist with or maintain the requirements for current equipment and vehicle registrations.
  • Report crew needs to the coordinator of vehicle maintenance when applicable.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What You'll Bring

Qualifications: 

 

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc. 
  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent college credits preferred.
  • Excellent communication as well as problem solving skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite 
  • Valid driver license and a clean driving record 
  • Ability to work independently and make effective decisions. 
  • Preferred knowledge of state registration requirements.
  • Must have knowledge of power tools and willingness to learn. 
  • Must display excellent people skills and contribute to a positive work environment. 
  • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and various hours if required. 
  • Must be able to lift and empty waste containers/dumpsters. 
  • Must have the ability to work in a busy/congested area while maintaining a high level. 

 

Working Conditions: 

This job operates in both office and field environments with occasional exposure to noise and other hazards. This job routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasionally spend time outside the office when meeting clients or need to check on vehicles. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
