With Potelco Inc., the Equipment Coordinator communicates with a variety of Operations and Fleet staff to plan and coordinate delivery, transportation, and tracking of vehicles and equipment required at bases or jobsite locations to support operations.
This position, under minimal supervision, primarily works closely with key Operations staff, Fleet management staff, and Fleet truck drivers to identify, locate, deliver, and track the on-time transportation of vehicles and equipment throughout a large geographic area.
Examples of Work:
• Fields calls and requests through Web Central for a variety of vehicle and equipment needs.
• Manages Fleet resources and prioritizes delivery of vehicle and equipment requests.
• Creates and distributes driver dispatches to notify key personnel of vehicle and equipment transportation.
• Works closely with Shop Foremen and Supervisors to schedule and track repairs of vehicles and equipment required to support Operations field requests and deadlines.
• Coordinates with Operations staff to schedule delivery and pick up vehicles and equipment.
• Informs and coordinates changes with drivers whenever schedule changes occur.
• Creates DOT oversize or overweight permits for specialty loads.
• Manages and updates Web Central on the status of equipment being transported .
• Tracks the physical locations of equipment using Verizon Connect telematics.
• Organizes and conducts regular meetings with Fleet staff to identify field requests and coordinate efforts to deliver vehicles and equipment on time.
• Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Experience and knowledge of Fleet operations and mechanical components of commercial and passenger vehicles and equipment are desired.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
• Work is primarily performed in an office and administrative environment.
• Work will occasionally be performed in a warehouse/shop environment.
• Working overtime or on weekends for special circumstances may be required.
Licensing and Other Requirements:
• Current State of Washington driver's license.
• Obtain a First Aid and CPR card within the first 90 days of employment start date.
