About this Role

MG Dyess is seeking a results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead various pipeline construction projects across our operations. This role will be overseeing multiple projects, mentoring project managers, and working closely with executive leadership to ensure alignment with business goals. Ideal candidates bring deep experience in pipeline construction and a strong command of cost controls, safety, client management, and project execution.

 

Location: This role can be based anywhere but will have high travel requirements to various parts of the area's of operations

What You'll Do

  • Provide executive-level project oversight from initiation through closeout across multiple pipeline and midstream construction projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with high-level client stakeholders, ensuring service excellence and delivery.
  • Direct project execution strategy, schedule, budget forecasting, and manpower planning.
  • Mentor and develop a team of project managers and support staff.
  • Identify and manage risks proactively while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with estimating, procurement, field operations, and finance teams to align project goals with corporate objectives.
  • Report project performance to leadership, including key KPIs (cost, schedule, HSE, quality).
  • Lead proposal reviews, bid strategies, and preconstruction planning as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in pipeline, oil & gas, or midstream project management, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale projects ($10M–$100M+).
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT, PHMSA, and industry codes and standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and cost tracking systems.
  • Ability to travel as job needs demands
