Job Summary:

The Gate Attendant is responsible for monitoring and controlling access to a construction site by checking in all personnel, visitors, and deliveries requesting access to the warehouse facility. This position ensures site security, safety compliance, and accurate recordkeeping of site traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering the warehouse facility and grounds site.
• Control the Ingress and Egress of traffic at gates.
• Maintain a detailed log of all site entries and exits, including time stamps and vehicle/license plate information.
• Communicate with site management regarding expected deliveries, unauthorized entries, or security concerns.
• Direct traffic to designated parking or staging areas as needed.
• Monitor gate and perimeter activity to prevent unauthorized access.
• Use of two-way radios to communicate with other staff on-site.
• Ensure that all personnel entering the site wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gate area and gate booth station.
• Provide visitors and delivery drivers with information and directions as needed.
• Assist with emergency procedures, including site evacuation and incident reporting.
• Maintain attendance for your designated shift, as established by the Supervisor, and communicate if this cannot be met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
• Work is performed outdoors at the entrance of a construction facility.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction noise.
• May require extended hours, including early mornings or evenings.
• Must wear appropriate PPE.
• Standing or sitting for extended periods in a small gate booth.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in gate security, construction, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and warehouse site requirements.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and perform gate checks in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
