About this Role

The Commercial Operations role will develop and execute a strategic roadmap for major electricity and gas utilities in Florida. This role involves identifying core business areas and expansion opportunities based on Quanta Services’ capabilities. You will collaborate with regional and operating company leaders to enhance business through sustainable customer, service, and operational partnerships.

Key responsibilities include solving problems for both customers and operating companies (OpCo’s), working externally with customers and internally with OpCo’s to drive business growth and performance. You will prioritize safety and quality in all operations, strengthen connections with operating companies, address customer needs, lead early engagement in project planning, and simplify the customer experience with efficient solutions. You'll also contribute to strong operational and financial results and ensure a positive overall experience for Quanta Services customers.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter with strong business development, grid operations, communication, and analytical skills, capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment. Leadership, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to operate within a team environment are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Build and manage relationships with executives, operational decision-makers, and influencers at investor-owned utilities and other potential customers in Florida.
  • Develop and manage execution of account plans to support business objectives, including revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, track, and manage opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, solution development, and proposal response.
  • Proactively and frequently meet with existing and potential clients to identify planned infrastructure projects, service needs, or operational improvement opportunities that generate growth and build customer loyalty.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to extend Quanta capabilities to profitably deliver new solutions to existing and new customers.
  • Collaborate with Quanta’s Southeast Region leadership team, Operating Companies, Local Operating Company Managers and Leaders, Proposal Writers, and Estimating teams.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, workshops, and other events to network, learn, and promote customer relationships.
  • Set the strategy and review content for key pursuits and proposals, including developing win-themes, project profiles, resumes, marketing materials, and other business communications.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing marketing strategies or campaigns that align with business targets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by your manager.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusting internal and external relationships at the executive and operational levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • An understanding of the electric, natural gas, and renewable energy markets.
  • Self-starter motivated to positively impact customer and Quanta business results.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Salesforce, and Acrobat.
