Construction Coordinator (Field)

The Construction Coordinator I – Field classification represents employees that have been in the electrical transmission and distribution industry for 1-5 years. The role includes both office and field support. Field Employees will receive a Company vehicle for job related field services. Senior or more experienced CC1- Field employees will engage in the training of new hires and less experienced CC1s. We strive for a promote from within mentality. This classification will typically not be appointed to leadership roles. A college degree or certifications is not required for this role.

Field Services include:

• USA markings as well as online or call-in submission for job location for pre digging clearance.
• Pre field jobs if asked to assist
• Domestic and Commercial customer contact (“Door hanger” notifications) Access / Tree trim / Clean up
• Verify that Tree trimming, Pre digging, and No parks are job ready
• Posting / Picking up of temporary “No Parking”, “Blocked driveway”, Blocked alley” notices
• Field verification of work orders, outage or switching requirements
• Pre field and completion photos of various work types
• Representing the company in a professional manner while in the field both driving and interacting with customers
• Possession of a valid / clean California driver's license, Class C for field checking and verifying work

Office Support Includes:

• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat DC.
• Preparation of CC1 Field packages (Customer TLM, Door hangers, No parks, USA’s, Customer contact)
• Proficient with the SCE portal to access circuit maps, work order maps, FIM maps, CSS, TLM
• Preparation of daily foreman or job packages / folders (Approved outage, TCR, USA’s, Permit, ERD, Work order map ETC.)
• Requesting of third-party vendors (Diggers, Traffic control, Cranes, Environmental, Inspection requests, Concrete repair)
• Requesting of SCE resources (Airops, Tree Trimming, Gotspill, Generation, Mapping, Permitting)
• Foreman, general foreman and superintendent support
• Maintaining of crew calendars and crew scheduling
• Data entry and database maintenance
• Closing / building of construction books
• Coordination with environmental associates
• Coordination with sub-contractor resources
• Building station maps for projects
• Requesting NTO, Outages, Transmission clearances and basic switching programs
• Submittal of map changes to SCE for completed work

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint required; Visio, PowerPoint preferred)
• Maintain a professional appearance with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening)
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks
• Ability to work onsite and travel locally as needed to support the project
• Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)
