About this Role

Our Quanta South Region team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Houston, TX area.  

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of engineering, estimating, project controls, client presentations, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the project. The ideal candidate will have experience in the civil, site, industrial and railroad sector.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinates engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the project
  • Oversee the development of the initial project schedule in conjunction with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management personnel
  • Participates in value engineering and constructability reviews
  • Works with procurement to develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedules exhibits to the contracts for review by PM before processing
  • Assists the Senior PM's with project schedule and helps prepare monthly project review reports for the project management team and Senior Management
  • Oversee the project by conducting financial reviews and closeouts on a monthly basis
  • Assists with RFI submittals utilizing QISG’s document management system
  • Provides feedback to improve Quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables for projects
  • Assists in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages
  • Facilitates Project Close-Out and Warranty administration
  • Performs post-construction cost review and reporting and participates in lessons learned

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field work experience, OR combination of work and education, may be substituted
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in heavy civil construction or railroad projects
  • Additional experience in various aspects of construction planning and management including, but not limited to engineering, estimating, bidding, preparing, and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, document control, etc.
  • Required experience with Bluebeam, HCSS/HeavyBid, and cost estimating estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Prior experience in EPC/design build as well as the Power Delivery industry. (substation, transmission & distribution)
  • Have knowledge of sitework, asphalt, concrete and/or railroad construction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Travel Up to 20% or as project needs require
