Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our Heber, UT team! The HR Administrator is responsible for performing a variety of HR administrative tasks while supporting the daily operations of the HR department. This role involves working closely with HR personnel and managers to ensure HR processes are streamlined and compliant with organizational policies. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. 

 

This position will report out of our home office in Heber, UT.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities: 

 

HR Operations Support, Compliance and Record Keeping 

  • Support HR systems by entering and updating employee information (employee changes, VoEs, etc.).  
  • Accurately maintain and update employee files, including documentation and data entry into HR systems.  
  • Provide Quality Assurance for regional offices new hire bargaining unit employee files.  
  • Participate in audits of HR programs such as payroll, benefits, and retirement, ensuring legal compliance. 
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of employee information. 
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and produce reports to improve HR practices. 
  • Assist with the administration of HR policies and processes, ensuring compliance with company standards. 

Recruitment and Pre-Boarding 

  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of job descriptions.  
  • Assist with job postings in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other job boards. 
  • Track recruitment processes, send follow-up communication to candidates, and support onboarding tasks.  
  • Prepare and manage new hire files, process background checks, and monitor candidate progress. 
  • Coordinate and participate in pre-boarding and onboarding processes by sending materials and answering candidate questions. 

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Coordinate and schedule relevant drug and alcohol testing and background check screening.   
  • Coordinate with DOT administrative team to ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is uploaded to employee files.  
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate testing and screening results to relevant personnel. 
  • Process terminations and maintain accurate HR records. 
  • Ensure compliance with all onboarding and offboarding procedures, including proper documentation and communication with relevant departments. 

Benefits and Payroll Administration

  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. 
  • Assist with payroll administration and ensure employee records are up-to-date for payroll and benefits processing. 
  • Reconcile benefit plans and statements and assist employees with benefit-related queries. 

 

What You'll Bring

Qualifications: 

  • Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. 
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Experience managing calendars, meetings, tasks, and deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with HR software and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
