About this Role

The Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs to ensure the workforce's competency, compliance, and skill development.  

What You'll Do

  1. Training Program Development
    • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of field crews, project managers, and support staff.
    • Ensure all training content aligns with company policies, industry standards, and OSHA regulations.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design task-specific training for electrical construction processes, equipment use, and safety.
  2. Employee Development
    • Conduct skill gap analyses and create personalized development plans for employees.
    • Facilitate leadership training programs for supervisors and managers to enhance workforce management skills.
    • Organize apprenticeships and on-the-job training initiatives for entry-level employees.
    • Oversight of multiple DOL apprentice programs and managing staff that oversees the programs.
  3. Compliance and Safety Training
    • Oversee mandatory safety training programs, including OSHA, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards.
    • Ensure all employees are certified in required safety protocols and maintain records of training and certifications.
    • Address compliance-related training needs, including updates to regulations and policies.
  4. Performance Evaluation
    • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through employee feedback, performance reviews, and on-site observations.
    • Track employee progress and ensure training goals are achieved within established timelines.
    • Prepare and present reports on training metrics, participation, and ROI to senior management.
  5. Team Coordination and Collaboration

Collaborates with project managers, safety coordinators, and HR to identify and address training requirements. Oversees the development and implementation of training and apprentice programs, providing leadership to staff involved in these initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements specific to the electrical construction industry is a plus.

 

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Very Proficient in learning management systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and training design software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage department staff to ensure proper processes and policies are followed.
  • Certification in training or safety (e.g., OSHA Trainer, CHST, or CSP) is a plus.
