About this Role

The Payroll Processor at Brink Constructors, Inc. will be responsible for a wide variety of finance-related tasks that are primarily associated with preparing financial records. These tasks oftentimes include computing taxes and preparing tax returns, organizing, and maintaining financial records, ensuring statements are accurate, and reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

 

Pay: This is an exempt/salary position. The pay range is $58,000 - $70,000 

 

Location: This position is located in Rapid City, SD

What You'll Do

  • Process weekly, mid-month, & monthly payrolls
  • Complete and submit certified PR Reports Weekly
  • Process child support and garnishments each payroll.
  • Process PR using rate tables/verify accuracy.
  • Process payroll adjustments/corrections/one-time overrides.
  • Process off-cycle checks.
  • Pay 941 PR Taxes paid timely each payroll.
  • Research bank exceptions and processing issues.
  • Review benefits submitted & reconcile each payroll.
  • Provide employee Support.
  • Pull data and support for audit compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ Years of payroll experience
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Computer skills including ability to operate computerized accounting software.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and email programs
  • Work effectively with coworkers.
  • Meet all departmental deadlines.
  • Possess the ability to evaluate data and investigate issues to develop solutions.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting would be helpful, not required.

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Awareness of business trends
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
