Job Summary: 

We are seeking a Mechanic to join our Heber, UT team. The Mechanic will assist with the maintenance, repair, and inspection of vehicles and heavy equipment. The Mechanic will ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition to support our operations efficiently and safely. 

*This is not a traveling position*

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair

  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance on equipment and vehicles independently.
  • Replace damaged or worn parts with limited supervision.
  • Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of equipment and vehicles, with guidance as needed.
  • Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose basic issues and defects.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after minor repairs or assembly to ensure functionality.

Technical Skills and Diagnostics

  • Diagnose basic equipment faults or malfunctions and determine required repairs, with some use of diagnostic tools.
  • Inspect parts for damage or wear using basic measuring tools like micrometers and gauges.
  • Perform vehicle/equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.

Documentation and Record Retention

  • Read and understand operating manuals and basic technical documentation.
  • Complete part request forms and assist with ordering necessary parts.
  • Create and complete work orders, ensuring accurate record-keeping of repairs and services performed.

Assembly and Adjustment

  • Fit and adjust basic components like bearings with limited supervision.
  • Assist with more complex mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic adjustments under the direction of senior technicians.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years experience in mechanic work
  • Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance (preferred)
  • Experience in heavy & yellow iron equipment (preferred)
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical repairs (preferred)
  • Knowledge of fuel systems; both diesel and gas 
  • Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using a scanner 
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage a schedule and organize time
  • CDL Class A (preferred)
  • Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.
