About this Role

The Fleet Analyst and Special Projects Manager is responsible for reporting to management the status and financial information of the fleet, as well as areas of focus wen it comes to safety, under-utilization, fuel spend, and potential misuse of fleet equipment. The Fleet Analyst ensures fixed assets are disposed/capitalized as needed, and coordinates the equipment locations and filings for personal property tax reporting.

 

Pay: This is an exempt/salary position. The pay range is $75,000 - $85,000. Pay may vary depending on your skills and experience. 

What You'll Do

• Generate weekly reports on status of Brink's active fleet along with safety scores, idle percentages, and Sunday driving activity

•  Compile reports for Director of Fleet Operations analyzing weekly and monthly trends of various types of equipment

• Evaluate fleet fuel spend, then report areas of improvement to Director of Fleet and division managers

• Oversee the capitalization and depreciation of all assets in accordance with Brink's accounting policy

• Ensure assets sold or scrapped are disposed and retired

• Identify monthly changes in depreciation expense

• Coordinate with the A/R and A/P departments regarding the coding of auction proceeds, intercompany transfers, and invoices

• Reconcile monthly roll forward and scrap accounts

• Work a minimum of 40 hours a week on a regular basis, with OT as needed

• Coordination of property tax filings

What You'll Bring

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work overtime as needed during Month-End close and/or special projects

• Ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments in fast-paced environment

• Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel including lookups/pivot tables/charts

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task

• Trustworthy with a strong work ethic

• Detail oriented

 

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3 years Fixed Assets experience

 

PREFERRED:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance or Accounting preferred

• JD Edwards/Hubble experience

• 5 year's Fleet Equipment experience
