About this Role

Quanta South Region is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to deliver front-line technical support to end-users across the Houston metro area. The ideal candidate will thrive in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, playing a key role in ensuring seamless IT operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

The Technical Support Analyst will provide dedicated support for personal computing, software, operating systems (OS), applications, mobile connectivity, and related peripherals. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves working with personnel at all organizational levels.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-users facing technical issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues through in-person, phone, or email support.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OS errors, application malfunctions, and network issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions, and equipment inventory in the ticketing system.
  • Provide basic technical training and guidance to end-users when needed.
  • Set up new computers, users, printers, and install necessary software.
  • Offer after-hours support as needed.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Prioritize daily tasks based on urgency and workload.
  • Ability to sit, crawl, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate’s degree or 2+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and assess their impact on the business.
  • Work effectively with executive-level customers and office personnel, in person or via phone, in potentially challenging situations.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Organizational Units (OUs).
  • Experience administering Active Directory following best practices related to privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service, especially over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team. Comfortable asking for help when needed.
  • Positive attitude and adaptable approach.
  • 15% travel within the Houston metro
  • Basic Understanding of the following
    • Windows OS | Active Directory | MS Office Suite | MS Exchange and Outlook | Imaging (SCCM) | Network Printers | Software Deployment | Cloud & Mobile Applications | Security Systems
