About this Role

The Senior Manager, Management Reporting oversees day-to-day work of the Management Reporting Accounting group: Management Reporting Managers, senior and staff accountants. Reviews various reports and financial documents, identifies fluctuations, communicates possible risk to other Accounting groups, company departments or operating unit management and controllers, and assists operating units and company departments in resolving accounting issues. Assists VP, Operational Accounting and Reporting, Quanta Management personnel, other accounting groups, external audit, other company departments and operating units with preparation, review and analysis of the financial reports and statements.

 

What You'll Do

  • Manages the Divisional Accounting group workload: Management Reporting Managers, senior and staff accountants. Reviews the work of the Divisional senior and staff accountants.    
  • Manages the relationship with the external auditors and assists with audit of financial information related to Divisional accounting and Operating Units.
  • Assists the VP, Operational Accounting and Reporting in preparation of the MD&A section of the company annual financial report.
  • Generates, reviews and analyses the consolidated jobs schedules.
  • Using Hyperion and OneStream system reports and other financial information, performs review of various financial documents, reports, statements, and disclosures, provides with interpretation of fluctuations or potential negative impact, identifies risks, communicates findings to company Management, operating unit personnel or controllers, operations personnel, and assists with preparation of reports and resolutions:
    • monthly review of the financial statement and other financials for each operating unit;
    • work-in-process/job review and analysis;
    • Actual vs. Forecast Review of OpUs reports;
    • Actual vs. Forecast Review of different company segments reports;
    • Management Representation/Questionnaire Review;
    • Monthly Reporting Schedules.
  • Works closely with the operating units, other Accounting groups and company departments to help to resolve any accounting issues that may arise.
  • Serves as a main point of contact for the operating units’ Controllers.
  • Provides support and assistance to the SEC financial reporting group in preparations of Company’s 10-Q, 10-K, earnings releases, board of director presentations, etc.
  • Provides support and assistance to the external auditors in connection with the audit of the company.
  • Assists with the preparation and review of statutory financial statements for certain international operating units as needed.
  • Continuously searches for ways to improve the reporting process at the corporate and operating unit’s levels.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting and 10 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, including 3 years of experience supervising employees.
  • > 3 Years

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • > 3 Years
