About this Role

Cable Communication Services

 

A working foreman is responsible for the direction, guidance, safety health and welfare, of all site staff including documentation and execution of the day-to-day field operational needs of the individual project. The Foreman assists the Superintendent in managing the day-to-day crews and sub-contractors. They ensure safe working conditions, everyone is trained and understands all hazards of each job site, and what is taking place with respect to productivity.

What You'll Do

  • Is directly responsible for leading and working along with a crew which consist of Journeyman, Apprentices, Operators, and Groundmen. This position will lay out work and make certain that materials, tools, equipment and information are on the job site in the proper locations to meet construction schedules Position interacts with Superintendent or Project Manager and on smaller projects may oversee complete installation. Possesses Journeyman license where required
  • Must be able to report to assigned job site location on time or as directed.
  • Has ability to monitor work in progress
  • Accurately has ability / knowledge to fairly evaluate fellow employees work performance.
  • Train field personnel in technical skills and safety methods
  • Communicate to the crew, subcontractors and owner to maintain a good working relationship.
  • Inventory, record keeping, organization and usage of materials required
  • Read and Understand all contract requirements and paperwork documentation
  • Directing, scheduling, addressing disciplinary or employment issues, and approving timesheets of crew

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years relative experience in the Utility or similar industry required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active, Valid Driver's License
  • Active, Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate

 

Preferred:

  • Active, Valid CDL A
