Position:

We are seeking a self-motivated Project Scheduler to assist in managing transmission, distribution, and substation projects.  This position will be responsible for assisting with proactive project planning with field leadership, scheduling, and reporting project status. In this role you will be collaborating with project managers, setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines.

The specific needs for this position will require to be on site in a field office a majority of each week in McCarran Nevada, about 20 minutes East of Reno in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Complex (TRIC).  Other days will be spent in the Reno Summit office near downtown.  This particular project we are hiring for is the construction of new private substation(s) with various electrical distribution and transmission (OH & UG) tasks intertwined as the overall campus expands.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet project milestones.
  • Develop master schedules with management team.
  • Track baseline(s) and update on weekly basis.
  • Breakdown master schedule into multiple 3 week look ahead(s) for our crews and customer notifications.
  • Develop and execute useful reports from scheduling software.
  • Work with material procurement to track material lead times and ship dates.
  • Consult with project managers and field supervision to develop crew assignments, tasks, and subtasks.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Scheduling experience or certificates in Primavera P6 and / or Microsoft Project required.
  • Prior utility or construction experience beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a fluid work environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis in Excel is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Must pass mandatory drug screening.
