We provide best-in-breed utility helicopters and crews to support projects of all complexities and sizes throughout the United States. We are a team of quiet professionals who get the job done safely and to the specification and satisfaction of our customers. Our approach centers around providing the best maintained aircraft, the best trained aviation teams (Pilots, Mechanics, Linemen & Groundmen), and the best results in terms of safe and efficient production for our customers.

About this Role

Winco Powerline Services is looking for a Vehicle Fleet Manager to keep our trucks, trailers, and service vehicles safe, compliant, and ready for work. In this hands-on role, you’ll oversee fleet tracking, registration, maintenance, and DOT compliance for the company. You’ll work with field crews, mechanics, and our partners across Quanta. You’ll be the go-to person for fleet questions, and you’ll make sure our crews have reliable, properly equipped vehicles wherever the job takes them.

What You'll Do

  • Manage fleet tracking through Verizon Connect: order and install devices, resolve non-reporting units, set up new employees, and create mileage reports for customer billing
  • Make sure DVIRs are completed for commercial motor vehicles, and manage and enforce fleet safety
  • Renew annual apportioned registrations for all Winco trucks, distribute cab cards and plate stickers, and manage non-apportioned trailers and vehicles
  • Work with Holman, Quanta’s fleet leasing company, to register newly acquired vehicles
  • Develop and run a preventative maintenance program and tracking system for all vehicles and trailers
  • Coordinate field maintenance, authorize large repairs, and perform in-house maintenance when needed
  • Track, schedule, and perform yearly DOT inspections, and relay recall notices to the field
  • Apply Winco logos, vehicle numbers, and DOT numbers to commercial motor vehicles
  • Make sure service trucks are fully equipped, audit trucks in the field with mechanics, and ship supplies and equipment to job sites
  • Deliver spare vehicles to job sites as needed
  • Report monthly DOT information and vehicle counts to Quanta, and join monthly Quanta DOT calls and the yearly workshop
  • Maintain current knowledge of DOT regulations, including HOS utility exemption and placarding, and update the MCS-150

What You'll Bring

  • Ability to pass and maintain a DOT medical physical
  • Ability to pass and maintain participation in Winco’s random DOT drug testing program
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of DOT laws and regulations, including HOS utility exemption and placarding
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort performing vehicle maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills to track registrations, inspections, maintenance, and reporting
  • Comfort working with fleet telematics (Verizon Connect experience is a plus)
  • Clear communication skills for working with field crews, vendors, and Quanta partners

What You'll Get

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • 401(k) with employer match of up to 4.5% when you contribute 6%
  • Medical insurance options: PPO, or HDHP with a $3K or $5K deductible
  • Employer-funded HSA with the $3K HDHP: $500 individual / $1,000 family annually
  • Employer-funded HSA with the $5K HDHP: $1,500 individual / $2,000 family annually
  • Employer-provided dental coverage for the employee
  • Employer-provided Basic Life and AD&D at 2x annual base earnings
  • Additional benefits: Vision, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Supplemental Life, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, and more

Schedule and Location: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, Monday through Friday, based at Winco’s headquarters at Aurora State Airport in Aurora, Oregon. Candidates must live within commutable driving distance and be available for regular in-person work. (Occasional travel to job sites may be required.)
