About this Role

Flare Construction, LLC, a Quanta Services Company, is hiring experienced TIG welders for a temporary project in St. George, UT lasting approximately two to four months. This is 100% TIG welding on both stainless steel and carbon steel — no stick, no MIG, no flux core. The customer is providing a fully equipped welding booth and everything needed onsite, so you can focus on laying down clean, quality welds. Strong performers on this project will be considered for additional work as it becomes available.

What You'll Do

  • Perform precision TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components per project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate, code-compliant welds.
  • Fit, tack, and weld in a fully supplied booth environment set up by the customer onsite.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, penetration, and appearance; correct any deficiencies before sign-off.
  • Maintain and care for welding equipment, torches, and consumables provided for the project.
  • Follow all site-specific and Flare/Quanta safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate progress and any material or equipment needs to the site supervisor.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience TIG welding (GTAW) on both stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Ability to pass a weld test / procedure qualification prior to starting production welds.
  • Own welding truck and basic hand tools preferred.
  • Ability to read welding symbols and basic blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to weld quality and safety.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Reliable and available for the full duration of the St. George project.

What You'll Get

  • Competitive hourly pay.
  • Per diem for the duration of the project.
  • Weld truck pay in addition to hourly wage.
  • Potential for additional project work upon successful completion of this assignment.
  • Project site located in St. George, UT.
  • Temporary, project-based assignment; duration to be confirmed based on project schedule.
  • Customer supplies the welding booth and equipment needed on-site.
