About this Role

Service Electric Company is seeking a Technical Training Advisor to support our Florida region. The role develops, delivers, and evaluates hands-on and classroom training that strengthens safety performance and craft proficiency across Service Electric Company. This role falls within the company's Safety department and partners closely with operations leadership to align training with project needs and regulatory requirements. The role will travel 50% to 75% of the time.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, deliver, and facilitate instructor-led training to small and large groups in field and classroom settings.
  • Evaluate trainee competency; document results; issue certifications where applicable.
  • Maintain and update curricula to reflect current regulations, industry standards, and SEC/Quanta best practices.
  • Coach crews and leaders in the field; provide just-in-time refreshers and corrective training.
  • Coordinate training logistics (scheduling, facilities, materials, equipment) across multiple districts.
  • Track training records and compliance; report metrics to Regional leadership.
  • Model and reinforce SEC’s safety culture and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

7 years in the electric utility industry (T&D).

Journeyman Lineman strongly preferred, not required.

Experience in both Distribution and Transmission environments preferred, not required.

Experience as a Trainer, preferred.

Field management/supervisory experience.

Experience and/or certification in several of the listed training domains.

Formal training in adult learning / professional instruction (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, ATD, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to present effectively to both large and small groups.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated; able to work independently and manage changing schedules.

Willingness and ability to travel ~50% to 75% across the South Region.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: Mix of classroom and field settings with exposure to typical utility construction environments. Must meet company requirements for driving and site access.
