Dry Utilities Superintendent

The Dry Utilities Superintendent is responsible for the safe, efficient, and successful field execution of underground dry utility construction on data center and other mission-critical infrastructure projects. This position provides direct field leadership for underground electrical and telecom infrastructure, including excavation, duct banks, conduit systems, manholes, handholes, grounding systems, backfill, concrete encasement, and associated site work. The Dry Utilities Superintendent is responsible for coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, survey/layout, inspections, and daily production while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within project requirements, and to established quality standards.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 7–10 years of construction experience, with significant experience in underground electrical or dry utility construction.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or comparable field leadership position preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing underground electrical duct bank construction.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, trenching, conduit installation, concrete encasement, backfill, and compaction.
• Experience coordinating heavy equipment and excavation crews.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, underground utility, and construction drawings.
• Ability to understand elevations, coordinates, survey layout, profiles, and utility crossings.
• Ability to plan manpower, equipment, materials, and construction sequencing.
• Strong understanding of construction schedules and short-interval planning.
• Ability to lead multiple crews and work fronts simultaneously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
