The Field Mechanic travels throughout their assigned region and is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of construction vehicles and heavy equipment/machinery. This role supports field operations by ensuring all vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulatory standards. Work is performed primarily at job sites.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
· 5+ years of experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy equipment.
· Experience with hydraulic systems and aerial equipment (bucket trucks) strongly preferred.
· Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, braking systems, and diagnostics.
· Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents.
· Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
· Ability to identify and solve issues.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Self-motivated.
· Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with good time management.
· Ability to conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid driver’s license required. CDL is a plus.
