  • Coordinate receiving, laydown, delivery, rigging, setting, and protection of BESS containers, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
  • Ensure installations follow approved drawings, specifications, OEM requirements, approved submittals, torque requirements, cable termination procedures, and installation checklists.
  • Immediately elevate field conflicts, scope gaps, non-conforming work, or conditions requiring engineering clarification to the Construction Manager / Project Manager.

Subcontractor & Trade Coordination

  • Direct and coordinate assigned subcontractor field activities and verify work is performed safely, productively, and within approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate sequencing between civil, structural, electrical, controls, OEM, and commissioning teams to reduce conflicts and maintain continuous workflow.
  • Review subcontractor manpower and production information and promptly communicate performance concerns with supporting field documentation.

  • Review incidents, near misses, and field safety concerns; support timely investigation, documentation, and corrective action.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E, NFPA 855, project safety plans, and site-specific procedures.

Field Quality Control

  • Inspect work in place against project drawings, specifications, approved submittals, OEM requirements, and quality checklists.
  • Ensure required inspections and tests are completed and documented before work is covered, accepted, or energized.
  • Verify as-built drawings, progress records, inspection documentation, test results, and punch-list items are maintained throughout construction.
  • Confirm delivered materials and equipment are correct and suitable for installation; report damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming material immediately.
  • Support punch-list management and verify assigned corrective work is completed to project requirements.

  • Provide accurate daily field information to support progress reporting, billing, quantity tracking, forecasting, and earned-value/cost reporting.
  • Identify delays, Owner directives, differing conditions, and potential out-of-scope work as they occur; document facts and notify project leadership before unapproved extra work proceeds.

Commissioning, Energization & Closeout

  • Support field commissioning, startup, and energization activities and coordinate craft readiness with OEM representatives and commissioning personnel.
  • Verify assigned pre-energization punch-list work is complete and required field documentation is available before energization sequences begin.
