About this Role

We're adding a Field Customer Success Specialist to our Electrical team — a boots-on-the-ground role built to make sure every shipment, every count, and every customer interaction reflects the reliability and precision Ampacity is known for. You'll be the face of Ampacity on customer job sites, turning logistics execution into a genuine competitive advantage and building the kind of trust that keeps customers coming back.

This isn't a back-office logistics role. You'll be on-site with customers, in the field, solving problems in real time and making sure nothing falls through the cracks between the warehouse and the job site.

Pay Range: $25- $30/hourly

Travel: ~ 80%

Typical Work Environment

  • Active solar construction sites with heavy machinery, power tools, and construction equipment in operation.
  • 100% outdoor work environment subject to extreme weather conditions including snow and high heat, with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and uneven terrain.
  • Work at various heights requiring fall protection equipment.
  • Position may require unexpected travel and relocation to project sites with short notice.

What You'll Do

  • Provide onsite support for customers as they receive electrical goods (eBOS) and material shipments
  • Execute physical counts and inventory verification against purchase orders and packing lists
  • Identify shortages, damages, or missing items and drive fast, accurate resolution
  • Manage and track RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) from initiation through closure
  • Serve as the customer's trusted point of contact on-site — answering questions, flagging issues early, and keeping projects moving
  • Partner with internal project management, logistics, and sales teams to resolve discrepancies quickly
  • Document site visits, counts, and resolutions with clear, consistent reporting
  • Build long-term relationships that make Ampacity the easy, obvious choice for repeat business
  • Travel to customer and project sites as needed, up to approximately 80% of the time
  • This role will evolve over time with the needs of the business.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, materials management, construction, or field services (electrical/solar industry experience a strong plus)
  • Comfort working independently on job sites and managing your own schedule and travel
  • Sharp attention to detail - comfortable with physical counts, documentation, and reconciliation
  • Strong communication skills; able to build rapport quickly with customers and internal teams
  • A proactive, ownership mindset - you spot problems before they become customer issues
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%, including some overnight and multi-day trips
  • Valid driver's license; comfort working outdoors and on active construction/job sites
  • Familiarity with basic inventory or ERP systems is a plus

What You'll Get

  • Competitive pay and 401k — because your work should be rewarded fairly
  • Time off you'll actually use: vacation, sick days, holidays, parental, and bereavement leave
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus extra support when you need it
  • Wellness resources to help you show up as your best self, at work and at home
  • Real room to grow — we promote from within and invest in your development
