About this Role

Taylor's Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Area Supervisor to oversee construction operations across multiple job sites in the Charleston, WV area. This role is responsible for supporting field execution, supervising crews and field leadership, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining alignment with company quality, schedule, and performance expectations.

 

The Area Supervisor serves as a key operational leader between field personnel, project management, and customers while helping drive consistent execution across multiple projects and work locations.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple crews and project sites
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer requirements
  • Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, material availability, and production goals
  • Conduct site visits, quality inspections, and operational reviews to ensure work meets company standards
  • Verify timekeeping, production reporting, and project documentation accuracy
  • Communicate regularly with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel regarding project status and priorities
  • Identify project risks, resolve field issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedules and productivity
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence across all assigned projects

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in construction, telecommunications, utility, or related industries
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills
  • Extensive field experience in construction, telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure environments
  • Ability to track project progress, monitor schedules, and drive timely completion of work
  • Experience reviewing and maintaining project documentation, production reports, and field records
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking systems
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred

  • Experience supervising multiple crews across various job sites
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documentation
  • Experience managing customer relationships and client communications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
