    The Senior Business Analyst takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures and organization change.  Applies and monitors the use of modeling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.  Collaborates with stakeholders at all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.  Prepares business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes and associated business risks.  The Senior Business Analyst participates in the process of planning for, implementing and supporting computer applications which effectively support Quanta business processes and provides necessary business control and management.  This position utilizes general business knowledge to elucidate requirements from business process owners and end users.  The position is customer-facing and requires good soft skills; including ability to communicate empathetically, recognize verbal and nonverbal feedback and shape communication to fit audience.  The ability to clearly communicate ideas, interact creatively with others and explain issues are essential.


    • Responsible for analysis of business requirements and facilitating the design, development, testing and implementation of solution leveraging identified applications ranging from ERP to SaaS applications and custom applications across different function areas.
    • Serves as the main point of contact for Operating Units and vendors for application technical support.
    • Works with Corporate Equipment Business Process Lead to develop communications and delivery of training programs for projects.
    • Analyzes the system to ascertain whether it is functioning per the needs and objectives of the company.
    • Works with Finance team to allocate costs and ensure cost savings are captured appropriately against business case.
    • Supporting creation and management of IT Roadmaps for Applications Team.
    • Coordinate between Operations, Vendor and IT Applications team to define, test and validate system integration requirements.
    • Works with IT to implement a Business Intelligence tool to perform analytics on certain project data.
    • Updates and maintains design books, test scripts, work instructions and other team documents with new functionality or process.
    • Identifies and communicates service improvement opportunities; focuses on continuous service improvement.
    • Interacts with other applications groups and customers to gather business requirements, gather and complete functional specifications for new functionality and enhancements to existing functionality.
    • Participates in the development of project plans and communicates issues and risks.
    • Participates in the development of and implementation of service desk processes as they relate to applications support.
    • Demonstrates awareness of customer support metrics such as quality of service, close rates and response times and reflects on how to improve individual results as well as the team results.
    • Engages in regular professional development activities.
    • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager


    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years’ experience or equivalent professional experience (10 years).
    • Hands on experience within an enterprise solution team analyzing and delivery business requirements.


    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • 12+ years of experience.
    • Experience implementing, supporting or integrating with ERP solutions.
    • Construction industry experience.


    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    • Language Skills:  Advanced level required
    • Mathematical Skills:  Intermediate level required
    • Reasoning Skills/Abilities:  Advanced level required
    • Computer Skills:  Microsoft productivity tools including MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, ERP system (preferably JDE), and some Fleet Management software experience preferred

    • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and develops solutions to problems independently and through team discussions.
    • Must be self-aware and willing to adapt to changing work environment.
