The ComTran Group is a full-service provider of infrastructure construction services to the energy and communication industry with committed values to safety, quality, and customer service. We are looking for a dependable and self-motivated Shop Assistant to support daily operations in a busy mechanic shop. This position plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting mechanics with general shop tasks.

· Clean and maintain the mechanic shop, bays, and work areas

· Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the shop

· Wash and detail vehicles, equipment, and parts

· Load and unload materials and equipment

· Assist mechanics with general shop support duties

· Operate a forklift as needed (training available)

· Follow safety procedures and maintain shop cleanliness and organization

· Forklift experience preferred but not required

· Mechanically inclined or comfortable working around vehicles and equipment

· Strong attention to detail

· Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision

· Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs overhead

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and change positions frequently

· Comfortable with continuous movement and physical work throughout the shift

· $18 to $20 per hour based on experience
