About this Role

FiberTel is looking for a full-time HR Assistant for our Springville, UT location. The HR Assistant will report directly to the HR Manager and perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the HR department.

 

Pay: $18-20/hr, DOE

What You'll Do

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires including data entry, document collection, orientation, and system setup
  • Assist with recruiting activities including interview scheduling, background checks, and candidate follow up
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems
  • Support compliance administration including DOT documentation, badging, and state reporting requirements
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, and route complex questions to appropriate HR team members
  • Process employment forms for transfers, job changes, and other employee lifecycle events
  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training logistics
  • Support the HR team with general administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and correspondence
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all human resource files and records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma
  • A minimum of 1 year of administrative support or coordinator experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Preferred:

  • Experience in human resources or a related field
  • Knowledge of basic HR laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions

This is a full-time hourly position based on-site in Springville, UT. Work is primarily performed in an office environment and may require prolonged periods of sitting, use of a computer, and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
