Par Western Line Contractors LLC is seeking a New Mexico–certified Electrical Qualifying Party (QP) to establish a formal, ongoing professional relationship with the company in order to satisfy Construction Industries Division (CID) contractor licensing requirements for EL-1 (Electrical Distribution Systems) and/or EE-98 (Residential & Commercial Electrical) classifications.
The Qualifying Party will serve as the licensed technical authority of record for the applicable classification(s) and will be officially associated with Par Western’s New Mexico electrical contractor license in accordance with state law and CID regulations.
This role may be fulfilled through employment-mentor a formal contractual engagement, provided all CID requirements are met.
CID-Compliant Relationship Statement
This position establishes a bona fide association between the Qualifying Party and Par Western Line Contractors LLC. The Qualifying Party will be actively affiliated with the company and will not serve in a nominal, passive, or license-lending capacity.
· Be listed with the New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) as the Qualifying Party of record for EL-1 and/or EE-98
· Demonstrate and maintain technical competency for the licensed scope(s)
· Provide professional oversight and guidance to ensure work performed under the New Mexico license aligns with:
o Authorized license classifications and scopes
o Applicable electrical codes and safety standards
· Support compliance with CID licensing, renewal, and regulatory requirements
· Cooperate with:
o License applications and renewals
o CID or PSI reviews
o Regulatory inquiries or audits related to the licensed classifications
· Notify Par Western of any change that may affect QP eligibility or certification status
License Classifications & Scope
EL-1 – Electrical Distribution Systems
Applicable work includes, but is not limited to:
· Overhead and underground distribution lines
· Transmission lines
· Substation electrical work
· Utility-scale and customer-owned electrical distribution systems
· Electrical infrastructure projects performed as a subcontractor
EE-98 – Electrical (Residential & Commercial)
Applicable work includes:
· Residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations
· Electrical systems operating at 5,000 volts or less
· NEC-based electrical wiring and systems
· Eligible to obtain, or currently holds, a New Mexico CID Qualifying Party Certificate
· Ability to be formally listed with CID as the Qualifying Party for PWLC
· Experience must be:
o Verifiable
o Within the preceding 10 years
o Directly applicable to the classification(s) being qualified
EL-1 Experience Requirements
· Minimum 4 years (8,000 hours) of electrical distribution experience, such as:
o Utility distribution or transmission systems
o Substation construction or maintenance
o Overhead or underground power line work
EE-98 Experience Requirements (if qualifying EE-98)
· Minimum 4 years (8,000 hours) of residential and/or commercial electrical experience
· Experience with NEC-governed electrical systems
Examination & Certification
The Qualifying Party must:
· Have passed the required CID trade examination(s) for EL-1 and/or EE-98
· Completed and passed the Business & Law requirement Exam.
· Maintain QP certification in good standing for the duration of the association
Pay- $ 85,000 - $120,000 /Annually *Depending on Experience
