The System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administrator is responsible for overall administration and will be the subject matter expert for System Center.  This position is an escalation point for the Infrastructure team for deployment, maintenance and support of features within the System Center suite. The candidate will help develop automated solutions for deploying software packages, application patches and operating systems.  This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of Infrastructure initiatives that are consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.


  • Build, configure and deploy a global SCCM 2012 R2 environment
  • Provide daily operational support of global SCCM 2012 R2 environment
  • Develop automated/scripted procedures for commonly executed tasks
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers and work stations in support of SCCM
  • Intermediate knowledge of VMware
  • Intermediate knowledge of SCOM and AD
  • Support infrastructure and other teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
  • Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
  • Create required reports in response to business user needs.
  • Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
  • Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on servers, computers and databases in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with other team members to provide support on personnel platforms and tools to improve their work performance and to automate activities, such as OS migration and imaging, software installations, profile migration and others.
  • Follow best practices and applies different techniques for software packaging and deployment, including application virtualization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in System Center and related experience with SCCM
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with software packaging and deployment, including application virtualization
  • Experience working with IT Service Management systems
  • Experience working with IT Asset Management systems
  • Experience working with Knowledge Bases
  • Experience supporting HP, Dell and/or Lenovo workstations - preferred
  • Experience performing other Customer Service/Facing related roles - preferred
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft System Center, VMWare, ITIL - Preferred
  • ITIL Foundation - preferred
  • MCITP - preferred
  • MCDST - preferred
  • Must have experience with administering and deploying software using SCCM 2012/2016 in a global environment - Advanced Level
  • Experience with developing and maintaining workstation images using SCCM 2012/2016 - Advanced Level
  • Experience in patch management including bios and firmware updates, service pack upgrades, and application based updates - Advanced Level
  • Software Packaging and Deployment Tools – Advanced Level
  • Application Virtualization - Advanced Level

  • OS Deployment (Imaging) - Advanced Level
  • Windows OS - Advanced Level
  • OS Registry - Advanced Level
  • Computer Management Applications (Console) - Advanced Level
  • Active Directory (Accounts, Groups, GPs, Security) - Advanced Level
  • MS Office Suite – Intermediate Level
  • Exchange and Outlook – Intermediate Level
  • Desktop Native Applications - Advanced Level
  • Cloud Applications – Intermediate Level
  • Client-Server Applications - Advanced Level
  • Mobile Applications – Intermediate Level
  • Browsers - Advanced Level
  • Experience with Windows 7 and 10, Active Directory Structure and familiar with basic server operations - Advanced Level
  • Experience with End Point Protection – Intermediate Level
  • Experience with full disk encryption software – Intermediate Level
  • Experience in automation and scripting: PowerShell, VBScript – Intermediate Level
