BIM Operator / Project Scheduler

Potelco, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented BIM Operator (Revit) / Project Scheduler to join our team.
The BIM Operator / Project Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting high-voltage transmission, distribution, substation, and data center infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for developing and managing detailed 3D models in Autodesk Revit, coordinating digital construction workflows, and building and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project to support successful project delivery. This role is expected to travel 50% of the time.

BIM Modeling – Revit
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit
• Create coordinated models for electrical infrastructure, including transmission, distribution, substation, and data center projects
• Produce model-based drawings, sections, schedules, and construction documentation
• Perform clash detection and coordination with internal engineering teams and external partners
• Extract quantities and support development of bills of materials (BOMs)
• Maintain model standards, naming conventions, and file organization in alignment with company and client requirements
• Support field teams with constructability reviews and model-based coordination
• Update models to reflect as-built conditions throughout the project lifecycle
Scheduling & Project Controls
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
• Build Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with project scope and contractual milestones
• Identify and manage critical path activities
• Update schedules based on field progress, production tracking, and change orders
• Provide schedule analysis, forecasting, and recovery planning when required
• Support project managers with milestone tracking and reporting to clients
Collaboration & Support
• Work closely with engineering, estimating, and operations teams during preconstruction and execution phases
• Support sequencing and phasing plans for complex electrical infrastructure projects
• Ensure schedule and model alignment with client specifications and deliverables
• Participate in internal and external coordination meetings
• 3–5+ years of BIM experience with strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
• Experience supporting construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycle
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to travel 50% or more of time
