We’re looking for a skilled Journeyman Fiber Technician to join our team and contribute to critical communication projects across North America. In this hands‑on field role, you’ll install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic systems in a variety of environments while upholding the highest standards of safety, precision, and craftsmanship. As a Journeyman Fiber Technician, you will play a key role in delivering the fiber optic infrastructure that keeps modern communication systems running. Your work will include fusion and mechanical splicing, fiber testing, installation of network components, and interpreting technical documentation to ensure quality and accuracy in every project. You’ll collaborate with field teams, support project timelines, maintain detailed documentation, and help lead and mentor junior technicians as needed—all while traveling to job sites and upholding AES’s commitment to safety and performance.
