Position
Advanced Electric Systems is looking for relay, apparatus, and transformer substation testing technicians who are willing to travel on a regular basis throughout the US. Our traveling schedules are flexible and can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual technician.
This position requires constant, nationwide travel. The ideal candidate would be willing to relocate to Utah.
Test, inspect, and troubleshoot transformers, electrical systems and equipment.
Operate electrical test equipment (Doble, Manta, Vanguard, Omicron).
Work with relays (SEL, Multilin, Basler) and related software (DTA, Protection Suite, Enoserve/RTS, PTM, Accelerator).
Perform testing and commissioning on transformers, circuit breakers, relays, meters, and other electrical apparatus.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Document test results using Word and Excel.
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical circuits.
Maintain strong client relationships.
Follow safe work practices and work independently or as part of a team.
