About this Role

The Sr Financial Analyst at IFS Infrasource will be responsible for supporting the FP&A Dept with a variety of financial activities including weekly/monthly reporting, forecasting, building financial models, supporting month end close process, as well as ad hoc reporting as needed.  A strong background in Excel is required and strong interpersonal skills will be needed as this role will interact with all levels within the organization.  This is an in-office position (King of Prussia, PA). Some travel required (<10%).

What You'll Do

  • Reports to Senior Manager, FP&A
  • Assist the FP&A Managers prepare and distribute weekly/monthly financial reports that summarize and forecast the Division's business activity and financial results
  • Prepare and evaluate analysis based on contract performance and Divisional operating results
  • Act as back up to the FP&A Managers when needed
  • In coordination with the FP&A team, this position is responsible for adherence to the company’s accounting principles, procedures, practices, reporting and compliance requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP
  • Assist the FP&A Managers with the month-end close process by preparing any needed reporting or reconciliations
  • Help ensure proper revenue recognition for the Division
  • Review operating expenses and provide recommendations to management on ideas for cost reductions
  • Support the preparation and evaluation of budgets, forecasts and other financial operating reports
  • Performing research and analysis as required
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2-3 years+ of corporate finance experience
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Experience with Spectrum or other enterprise accounting software a plus
  • Must have the ability to research and analyze various financial data and have a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and be computer literate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel – ability to work with pivot tables, formulas such as V-lookups
  • Organized, detail oriented with reconciliation skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently and prioritize duties as well as on team projects
