Quality Control Manager - Bridgeport, WA

Potelco, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to join our team for a project located in Bridgeport, WA.

 

The QC Manager will oversee all aspects of the project’s Quality Control program to ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and Potelco’s commitment to excellence. This position plays a key role in coordinating inspections, documentation, and testing for all major trades involved in the contract.

What You'll Do

Meetings & Coordination

  • Coordinate and facilitate QC Program Kick-Off Meetings, Preparatory Phase Meetings, and Initial Phase Meetings.
  • Participate in weekly Project Coordination Meetings in accordance with project requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with BPA and project stakeholders to ensure all contract specifications are met.

Implement QC Plan

  • Oversee the implementation of the project Quality Control Plan to maintain compliance and quality assurance across all construction phases.
  • Review and approve product substitution requests per contract requirements.
  • Maintain and update all as-built drawings and job site record sets.
  • Verify that proposed equipment and materials comply with contract documents and can be installed in allocated spaces.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage submittals and re-submittals in accordance with project specifications.
  • Maintain an accurate Submittal Log and track correspondence with BPA and subcontractors.

Inspection & Testing

  • Inspect received materials to ensure compliance with approved submittals.
  • Confirm proper control procedures are used when performing required tests and that testing procedures meet contract standards.
  • Verify that all recording forms, test identification systems, and test documentation are complete and properly filed.
  • Record and report results of all tests (passing and failing) in the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Report.
  • Conduct and document follow-up inspections to ensure all deficiencies are corrected prior to final inspection.
  • Coordinate and verify readiness for final inspections and ensure all corrective actions are completed.

Safety & Compliance

  • Proactively identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Partner with project leadership to uphold Potelco’s “People First” safety culture and maintain safe work practices at all times.

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent, Inspector, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Construction Manager on similar size construction projects involving high voltage work. 
  • Demonstrated experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction practices, testing standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple project phases and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital documentation systems.
  • Must pass a mandatory drug test.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on projects involving BPA or other federal utility contracts.
  • Experience in power delivery, transmission, or substation construction.
  • Certified Quality Manager or equivalent construction QA/QC certification.
