About this Role

At Quanta Aviation Services (QAS) we are seeking an experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for our Cessna Citation CJ4 based in Houston, TX. The PIC will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort. This role involves domestic and potential international travel under Part 91 regulations. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership, decision-making, and adherence to FAA and company standards.

What You'll Do

 

1. Act as PIC, ensuring safe flight operations, including decisions on routes, weather, and cancellations.

2. Conduct pre-flight planning, inspections, and post-flight duties, including flight logs and aircraft airworthiness.

3. Ensure compliance with FAA Part 91 regulations and company policies.

4. Provide passenger safety briefings and maintain high service standards.

5. Coordinate with maintenance for aircraft servicing and discrepancy reporting.

6. Mentor SIC pilots and assist with crew training and scheduling.

7. Maintain currency in aircraft systems, emergency procedures, and flight planning tools.

8. Report safety concerns promptly and contribute to a positive team environment.

What You'll Bring

 

1. FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with multi-engine land (AMEL) rating.

2. Cessna Citation CJ4 (CE-525S) type rating or equivalent light jet experience.

3. Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.

4. Minimum flight experience: (Please Opine on this)

1. 2,500 hours total fixed-wing time.

2. 1,000 hours PIC.

3. 500 hours multi-engine turbine.

5. Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean record.

6. Ability to obtain visas/passports for international travel.

7. Houston-area residency or willingness to relocate; flexible schedule availability.

8. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation safety.

9. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

10. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

 

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, and work in varying weather.

2. Meet FAA vision and hearing standards.

3. Handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
