About this Role

Taylor’s Construction is hiring experienced Coax Splicers to install, splice, test, and maintain coaxial cable for telecommunications systems. This role supports broadband and hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) networks, requiring both technical expertise and field readiness. Coax Splicers will work closely with supervisors and project teams to deliver reliable connectivity to customers.

What You'll Do

  • Splice, activate, and maintain coaxial cable systems for HFC and broadband networks.
  • Use test equipment to balance, sweep, and troubleshoot RF signals.
  • Read and interpret work prints, design maps, and splicing diagrams.
  • Perform aerial and underground coaxial construction, including node splits and line extensions.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate test and splice records.
  • Adhere to all safety practices, including working at heights and around energized equipment.
  • Provide support during service outages, repairs, and system upgrades.

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of coaxial splicing or cable construction experience.
  • Knowledge of signal levels, sweep balancing, and RF troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with coaxial test equipment, such as signal meters and sweep gear.
  • Ability to climb poles, operate bucket trucks, and perform aerial coaxial work safely.
  • Familiarity with fiber-to-coax integration, preferred.
  • Willingness to work outdoors, travel between job sites, and work flexible hours, preferred.
