We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical & Piping Designer to join our EPC team, supporting power generation and distribution projects such as gas turbines, renewables, BESS, substations, and transmission systems. In this role, you will deliver integrated mechanical and piping designs that are constructible, efficient, and aligned across all engineering disciplines.
Develop equipment layouts, piping systems, and mechanical designs for power projects.
Create construction-ready documentation including installation drawings, isometrics, support details, general arrangements, and bills of materials.
Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and support procurement activities.
Conduct field verification and coordinate with client personnel to ensure accurate designs.
Support construction and startup activities by resolving design issues in the field.
Identify and manage scope changes, updating designs as needed.
Collaborate closely with civil, electrical, and other engineering teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.
7+ years of combined mechanical and piping design experience, preferably in EPC projects.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping materials, valves, supports, and inline instrumentation.
Familiarity with gas turbines, BESS, substations, transmission systems, and renewables.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to interpret vendor drawings and convert them into construction-ready documentation.
Strong understanding of flexibility/stress analysis (a plus).
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in virtual, cross-functional teams.
