About this Role

NorthStar Energy Solutions (a Quanta Services company) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning and coordination of high-voltage electric transmission and distribution construction and maintenance projects.

What You'll Do

 

  • Project Scheduling & Coordination
    • Develop and maintain reports to track project timelines and milestones.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for project setup and execution.
  • Estimating & Documentation
    • Assist estimators with quantity take-offs and submittals.
    • Prepare and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) to clients; participate in project-related conference calls.
  • Project Tracking & Reporting
    • Maintain a comprehensive log of project updates, challenges, and barriers.
    • Monitor and report on resource delays, permitting status, Right-of-Way progress, and other critical project elements.
  • Team & Administrative Support
    • Provide support to Project Managers, Superintendents, and General Superintendents to ensure smooth project flow.
    • Serve as the liaison for the off-site administrative team, ensuring timely completion of paperwork, including time sheets, receipts, invoices, and reports.
  • Equipment & Materials Management
    • Track project equipment, including rentals, leases, breakdowns, relocations, etc.

Assist with project consumables, materials, etc., ensuring they are ordered, on-site, and ready to be utilized

What You'll Bring

  • General knowledge and understanding of construction jobsite processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time
  • Working knowledge of billing processes, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
