  • Do you love the challenge of finding unique solutions for complex projects?
  • Does the idea of growth and expansion motivate you?
  • Are you a team player who is ready to take on the responsibility of a prime role in a growing company?

Then come join us at IME’s Headquarters in beautiful Colorado – one of the most sought-after locations in the U.S. The beautiful mountains, skiing, hiking, and adventure are only part of Colorado’s allure. It is also home to many craft breweries, award-winning restaurants, a cultural downtown scene and annual events and festivals.

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Constructability Manager to play a pivotal leadership role bridging preconstruction, field operations, and the BIM/VDC department. This role not only reviews and develops constructability strategies but also leads team members, drives standardization, and ensures that all electrical scopes are constructible, code-compliant, cost-efficient, and aligned with project goals. The Constructability Manager sets the tone for best practices in constructability across multiple projects and mentors others in applying these standards.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

Project Scope & Design Oversight – Provide high-level reviews of contract drawings, specifications, and installation requirements to fully understand project scope and constraints. Direct the constructability review process across multiple projects, applying deep knowledge of electrical systems and commercial construction in complex environments (aviation, data centers, healthcare, higher education, etc.). Anticipate challenges early and develop practical, scalable installation strategies in collaboration with project teams.

BIM Integration & Team Leadership – Oversee and guide the integration of BIM models with field installation practices to ensure constructability and accurate execution. Supervise and mentor team members in developing preplanning drawings, 2D markups, conduit routing, and conduit schedules using Bluebeam and BIM platforms. Ensure models are updated with as-built conditions throughout the project lifecycle. Champion adherence to IME Installation Standards and lead initiatives to drive consistency, efficiency, and innovation across teams.

Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution – Establish and enforce QA/QC standards for BIM-generated drawings, ensuring alignment with construction means and methods. Lead coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts, prioritize RFIs, and proactively address constructability issues before they impact schedule or cost. Elevate lessons learned into best practices to improve future project execution.

Collaboration, Coordination & Leadership – Act as the senior liaison between design teams, project management, field operations, BIM/VDC, Prefab, and clients. Facilitate collaboration across multiple disciplines, ensuring clear communication and accountability. Lead constructability meetings and serve as a decision-maker when trade-offs arise. Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to the team.

Strategic Contribution & Continuous Improvement – Contribute to company-wide constructability initiatives, refining processes, tools, and standards. Share feedback from the field to improve design coordination, prefab opportunities, and BIM utilization. Actively support the development of constructability training materials and mentor the next generation of constructability professionals.

Additional duties as assigned.
