About this Role

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our customer service and data entry teams, managing Right of Way (ROW) permitting projects, and drive operational excellence through process development and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving systems, empowering teams, and ensuring seamless interdepartmental communication and customer service.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the customer service team to ensure timely, professional, and effective support.
  • Develop and monitor service KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure resolution aligns with company standards.
  • Supervise data entry operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Implement quality control procedures and streamline data workflows.
  • Coordinate with other departments to optimize data systems and reporting tools.
  • Lead ROW permitting projects from initiation to completion, ensuring company is meeting customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to complete permitting projects.
  • Maintain project timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Design and implement standardized procedures across departments.
  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet operational goals.
  • Act as a central point of contact between departments to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings and reporting.
  • Translate operational insights into actionable strategies for senior leadership.
  • Manage and mentor a diverse team across customer service and data entry functions.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in management or supervisory position.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, customer service, or project management.
  • Experience with ROW permitting or project management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, project management tools, and data platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in utility, telecommunications, or infrastructure industries.
  • Familiarity with permitting software and GIS tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications.
