About this Role

Winco, Inc. offers helicopter-assisted services for traditional electric maintenance and construction. Projects with limited access because of terrain or environmental concerns, as well as those on aggressive schedules have benefited from Winco’s aerial capabilities. This position will be for Field Mechanic on MD369 D and FF helicopters.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain overall proper maintenance of the aircraft.
  • Complete inspections when due, utilizing the appropriate checklist.
  • Change time-life/overhaul life items when due. Tagging them with the date of removal and accurate times and cycles accumulated.
  • Correct discrepancies reported by the pilot.
  • Maintain correct and legible log pages/book and make component permanent record card entries, signing off all work with an authorized signature.
  • Complete reports in a concise, legible, and timely manner.
  • Conduct a daily aircraft inspection. Preflight and postflight
  • Clean or assist in the cleaning of the helicopter each day, including wiping clean all excess grease and sweeping out the cabin.
  • Clean and polishing the windshield each day prior to the first flight.
  • Protect the aircraft on the ground.
  • Assist the pilot in securing the landing area, by keeping unauthorized people away.
  • Test the fuel each day and fueling the aircraft as directed.
  • Operate of motor vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  • Be / Become knowledgeable of the contents of the: Winco Operations Manual, Winco Environmental Health and Safety Manual, FAR’s, FAA Regulations, OSHA Standards Rotorcraft Flight Manual, Manufacture’s Maintenance Manuals and Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other information necessary to perform his duties.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What You'll Bring

  • Sufficient knowledge and experience to carry out the accountabilities and duties listed above
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant license
  • 2 years general maintenance training or equivalent experience with make and model helicopter/engine
  • Pass FAA/DOT drug test (pre-hire and randoms)
  • Legal US work status
  • Current US driver’s license
  • Pass a DOT Physical
  • Must have a minimum of six-months helicopter maintenance experience during the past 24 months.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs and climb ladders.
  • Requires the ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and in remote locations on a 3-weeks on, 3-weeks off basis.
