About this Role

NorthStar Energy Services is looking for a highly skilled Construction Project Scheduler with deep expertise in Primavera P6 to support the planning and execution of complex construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring project timelines are realistic, achievable, and aligned with overall project goals. You will be the go-to expert for all scheduling activities, leveraging P6 to drive transparency, accountability, and performance.

 

Location: West Texas (Midland, Lamesa, Lubbock)

Schedule: 2 year project, On-site at either of these locations

Per Diem: $145/day

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Integrate cost, resources, and schedule data to support project planning and controls.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to gather input and update schedules.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Generate and present schedule reports, look-aheads, and recovery plans.
  • Ensure schedule compliance with client requirements and internal standards.
  • Support change management by analyzing schedule impacts of scope changes.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field – or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience using Primavera P6 in a construction environment
  • Proficient understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and project controls
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and update complex, multi-phase project schedules
  • Experience with resource and cost loading in P6
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Experience in oil & gas, infrastructure, or data center projects, preferred
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and project controls, preferred
  • PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), PMP, or similar certifications, preferred
  • Experience with other tools such as MS Project, Procore, or SAP, preferred
  • Based in Houston, TX, and willing to work on-site in Northwest Texas (Midland–Lubbock region) for approximately 2 years, preferred
  • Must be able to be on-site at project location for duration of work (estimated Aug 2027)
